I'm Clara, and this is Finger Puppet Shakespeare, where I will be posting about the process and inspiration for 20 minute production of Twelfth Night performed with finger puppets.
Why are you doing this?
I've noticed that few things get reluctant readers of Shakespeare interested faster than seeing a performance. Although you can find many plot summaries online, there are few short performances, and I hope to change that.
Have you done anything like this before?
Yes! I've worked with theater and education, and for my MFA I wrote a blog similar to this one with my good friend Linden Kueck for her production of All's Well that Ends Well. See it here.
Why you?
I have two masters degrees in Shakespeare, and I feel passionately about giving his words to the world. Puppetry has also fascinated me my whole life, and it seems like a nice time to combine the two.
